Jooga Deluxe Thermowood Sauna
The Jooga Deluxe Thermowood Sauna builds on the proven design of our popular Jooga Mini Cube while offering more space, added comfort, and enhanced privacy. Designed to comfortably accommodate 3–4 bathers, this upgraded sauna features premium Thermowood construction, tinted glass for a more private sauna experience, and a spacious cube-style layout ideal for couples, families, or small groups.
Every Backcountry Recreation Cube Sauna kit comes complete with a Toule 9kW electric heater, wooden heater guard, water bucket and ladle, sauna rocks, and interior seating benches. Our saunas heat up to 195°F in under an hour and can be enjoyed wet or dry, offering a true Scandinavian sauna experience.
Note: This sauna model arrives in Natural Thermowood.
Thermowood Construction
Thermowood is created by heat treating Scandinavian softwood to temperatures ranging from 180–230°C in special chamber kilns for up to 96 hours. Steam is used as a protective gas and helps prevent the wood from splitting or becoming damaged during treatment.
Thermowood’s Characteristics & Qualities
This process causes chemical and structural changes within the timber, improving its stability, durability, and outdoor performance.
- Dimensionally Stable: Thermowood reacts less dramatically to changes in humidity, reducing the risk of swelling, cracking, and shrinkage.
- Environmentally Friendly: Produced using natural heat and steam without chemicals or foreign substances.
- Resistance to Rot and Fungi: The heat-treatment process helps reduce the nutrients that allow rot and fungi to grow.
- Increased Longevity: Heat-treated wood is built for long-term outdoor performance.
