The RAVN XS Outdoor Sauna is an ultra-compact Scandinavian-crafted sauna designed for individuals or couples who want a modern outdoor retreat in a minimal footprint. Built with the same clean, box-style architecture as the RAVN series and sized for 1 to 2 bathers, the RAVN XS delivers an authentic sauna experience in a format that fits seamlessly into patios, small backyards, and urban outdoor spaces.
Despite its compact size, the RAVN XS is thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort, efficiency, and long-term durability. From its Thermowood construction to its efficient interior layout and glass front, every detail is optimized to deliver a premium sauna experience in a space-conscious design.
Modern Scandinavian Design in an Ultra-Compact Footprint
With its minimalist form and clean architectural lines, the RAVN XS brings a refined Scandinavian aesthetic to even the smallest outdoor spaces. Its compact proportions make it ideal for tighter installations while still maintaining the visual presence and functionality of a full outdoor sauna.
Thermowood Construction for Durability and Stability
Crafted from Scandinavian Thermowood®, the RAVN XS is built for long-term outdoor performance and structural stability. Thermowood is produced by heat-treating Scandinavian softwood at temperatures between 180–230°C in controlled kiln chambers for up to 96 hours, using steam as a protective gas during the process.
This treatment enhances the wood’s performance in several key ways. Thermowood is highly dimensionally stable, reducing the risk of swelling, cracking, and shrinkage while preventing resin or sap release at high temperatures. It is also resistant to rot and fungi, offers improved insulation properties, and is environmentally friendly, as it is produced without chemicals using timber sourced from PEFC-certified forests.
Built for Heat Retention and Outdoor Durability
The RAVN XS features 42 mm (1.65") thick solid wood walls, providing excellent heat retention and structural integrity despite its compact size. The roof is designed for outdoor conditions and is compatible with PVC / EPDM roofing for dependable weather protection. Roofing is offered as an add-on, or customers may apply their own preferred waterproofing solution.
Efficient Interior Layout for Everyday Comfort
The RAVN XS offers an interior volume of approximately 2.0 m³ (71 ft³), making it quick to heat while maintaining a comfortable sauna environment. The interior is designed with efficient benching to maximize usable space, including a 450 mm (17.7") upper bench for comfortable seating and a 150 mm (5.9") lower step for easy access.
A tempered glass door (192 × 69 cm / 75.6" × 27.2") allows natural light into the sauna, creating a more open feel while maintaining thermal efficiency and a clean, modern appearance.
Designed for Easy Delivery and DIY Assembly
The RAVN XS Outdoor Sauna is delivered as a complete DIY kit, engineered for efficient shipping and straightforward assembly. The sauna is flat-packed for transport and can be assembled on site with ease, making it a practical solution for locations with limited access.
With a shipping weight of approximately 440 kg (970 lbs) and compact packaging dimensions of 2100 × 1200 × 550 mm (82.7" × 47.2" × 21.7"), the RAVN XS balances portability with premium build quality.
